All electrical and mechanical equipment radiates heat which creates a heat signature or thermal pattern. Infrared thermographic surveys help to detect areas of abnormal temperature, diagnose problem areas, and determine their impact and severity in electrical systems and mechanical equipment. And, under specific conditions, Infrared Imaging can also track the source of water intrusion and leakage.

Its use has proven to be so effective as a preventive tool, that infrared thermography inspections have been included as part of the Miami-Dade & Broward Counties Building Recertification Guidelines and required yearly inspections by NFPA 70E/70B safety standards.
